Report: Spurs have to convince £47m-rated attacker about a summer move

According to the print edition of Mundo Deportivo (as relayed by Sport Witness), while Tottenham can afford a deal to sign Raphinha, the winger would have to be convinced to leave Barcelona this summer.

A number of outlets over recent weeks have backed Spurs to move for a winger, with Raphinha thought to be one of the names on the club’s wishlist.

The latest such report came from The Telegraph last week, with the report naming the Barca star and Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior as the two wingers on the Premier League side’s radar.

Raphinha would have to be convinced to join Spurs

Mundo Deportivo have now also reported on Tottenham’s interest in the 27-year-old, claiming that the player could end up back in the Premier League and is a ‘realistic’ target for Ange Postecoglou’s men.

The report says that Raphinha has been on Spurs’ agenda for a while and given Barca’s financial situation, the Lilywhites are well-positioned to take advantage and land the attacker this summer.

It is claimed that the Catalant giants would want to collect at least €55m (£47.1m) for the former Leeds star.

However, the publication adds that both Spurs and Barca would have to convince Raphinha to make the move as the Brazil international does not want to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Postecoglou usually only wants to sign players who are extremely keen to come to the club and be part of the project. If Raphinha hesitates to make the switch, I do not think the Australian coach would want Tottenham to pursue the Brazilian.
