Report: Spurs hit ‘major roadblock’ in their hope of a Mauricio Pochettino return

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of bringing Mauricio Pochettino back to the club for a second stint as head coach have hit a ‘major roadblock’, according to Football.London.

The report claims that Tottenham were hopeful of securing the Argentine’s return to North London within a fortnight of their final Premier League game of the season against Leicester City.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to have no intention of losing the 49-year-old, despite Pochettino having expressed an interest in a return to his former employer.

Tottenham are reported not to have given up hope just yet of luring Pochettino back to the club but it could all rest on his shoulders and the relationship which he has with the French outfit’s hierarchy.

With the transfer window set to open on June 9th, Tottenham now face a race of getting a new head coach in place, with whoever replaces Jose Mourinho requiring their input on which players leaves the club and who should be recruited ahead of the new campaign.
