Estadio Deportivo have said that Tottenham will be pleased with the impressive start that Sergio Reguilon has made to life at Brentford as the North London club want to put him up for sale next summer.
Just a few years ago, Reguilon was seen by many as the potential successor to Marcelo at Real Madrid and some Spurs fans were even worried that the Los Blancos would activate the buy-back option for the Spaniard, given how well he was doing in North London.
However, owing to a combination of injuries and falling out of favour at Spurs, the left-back’s career has nosedived since then.
He is now slowly but surely managing to rebuild his reputation, having given a decent account of himself on loan at Manchester United during the first half of the season.
The 27-year-old has made a fine start to his time at the Gtech Community Stadium since moving to the West London side on loan last month.
He proved instrumental in the Bees’ 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday, setting up Christian Norgaard for the opener with an in-swinging corner that the Dane converted from point-blank range.

Spurs hope Reguilon boosts his price for the summer
Estadio Deportivo now point out that the on-loan Tottenham man is making the most out of the opportunities he is getting for Brentford owing to the injuries to Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey.
The Seville-based publication says that Reguilon now finally has ‘an opportunity to relax’ after enduring a couple of tumultuous years.
The report adds that his recent performances come as a big boost to Spurs, who are hoping that he will ‘revalue himself’ in the next few months before they put him on the shop window at the end of the season.
Spurs Web Opinion
Reguilon’s displays for Man Utd and the start he has made to his time at Brentford suggest that the Spaniard is certainly good enough for the Premier League level. Now that he has also proved his fitness, I would not be surprised if several English clubs enter the race for the 27-year-old in the summer.
