Report: Spurs hopeful of agreeing fee for transfer target within the next 24 hours

Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful of agreeing on a fee with Everton for Richarlison within the next twenty-four hours, according to Football.London.

The report claims that there is a hope that a deal will be reached ahead of the Toffees financial fair play deadline on July 1st.

As of yet, Spurs are yet to agree on a structure of the deal with Everton despite both clubs having held discussions, however, if two sides can agree on how the format of the transfer before tomorrow’s deadline while also providing evidence that the rest of the deal can be finalised within the following days, it can still be allocated towards the pre-July 1st financial fair play records.

Everton have lost £372million over the last three years but the impact of Covid means they have been judged to have dipped under the Premier League’s £105m loss limit (The Athletic).

Despite the fact that personal terms are yet to be agreed with Richarlison, they are not expected to be an issue.

Tottenham will look to capitalise on Everton’s need to keep on the right side of the FFP rules which could play in their favour when negotiating for the striker.

The bulk of Everton’s other transfer activity is expected to be conducted after July 1st which could still mean possibilities for the likes of Anthony Gordon to head to Spurs and Harry Winks to go in the other direction.
