Report: Spurs identify Liverpool legend and Leeds boss as possible next manager

Tottenham Hotspur have identified two experienced managers as part of their hunt for a replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Football Insider claim that the North London outfit are considering Rafa Benitzes and Marcelo Bielsa for the job after experiencing issues in trying to persuade some managers with a Premier League pedigree.

Bielsa, who Mauricio Pochettino described as his ‘footballing father‘ after he engineered the career of the former Spurs boss guided his side to a 3-1 win against Ryan Mason’s men last weekend.

Benitez has been out of work since ending his 18-month stint with Chinese club Dalian Pro in January and has since moved back to Liverpool.

The Spaniard has already admitted that it is his priority to once again manage in the Premier League (Sky Sports) having previously experienced top flight management in England with Liverpool and Newcastle United.

The report also claims that Fulham boss Scott Parker will be interviewed for the job while there is also interest from Roberto Martinez, who is currently the manager of the Belgian national team.
