Report: Spurs identify three potential striker replacements for Harry Kane

CalcioMercato have revealed that Tottenham have compiled a three-man shortlist to replace Harry Kane following his move to Bayern Munich.

The report states that Daniel Levy is prepared to reinvest a large part of the money received for Kane on a new number nine.

One of the names at the top of Spurs’ shortlist is said to be Porto’s Mehdi Taremi, who is also thought to be on the radar of both Juventus and Inter Milan.

It is alleged that the Iran international is valued by the Portuguese club at around €30m (£26m).

Spurs are looking at Lukaku and Vlahovic

In addition, it is claimed that Spurs also have their eye on Romelu Lukaku, with the North London club allegedly considering a loan offer for the Belgian with an option to buy.

Finally, CalcioMercato add Dusan Vlahovic is another name on Tottenham’s radar while Chelsea are also reportedly keen on the Serb.

The outlet asserts that the possibility of including Lukaku in the deal to take Vlahovic to Stamford Bridge has also been discussed by the Blues and Juve.

Spurs Web Opinion

It remains to be seen if Tottenham will look to sign a big-name replacement for Kane or whether the club would look to secure a younger striker of Gift Orban’s profile. I suspect that it will be the latter as Richarlison, in many ways, is an ideal fit to lead the line for a Postecoglou side.
