Report: Spurs in race to sign Euro 2020 star with Real Madrid, Liverpool, and more

Tuttosport have claimed that Tottenham are just one of a series of big-name European clubs interested in signing Mikkel Damsgaard this summer.

The Sampdoria winger was on fire for Denmark throughout their Euro 2020 campaign this summer, even scoring an incredible free-kick against England in the semi-final.

Club Doria 46 reported earlier this week that Fabio Paratici wanted to bring Damsgaard to Spurs as his ‘first thunderous shot’ in North London.

Now Tuttosport claim that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Tottenham and more are interested in the 21-year-old in this current transfer window.

However, it is claimed that Sampdoria would prefer to keep Damgaard for one more season and then sell him for up to €50m next summer. Despite this, the Serie A club will review any proposals for the player in the coming days.

Paratici reportedly wanted to sign Damsgaard for Juventus and now wants to bring him to North London.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Spurs need a new attacking wide player with Gareth Bale going back to Real Madrid, even more so if Erik Lamela leaves this summer. What a signing Damsgaard would be if Levy and Paratici can pull it off. However, I think he may now be out of Tottenham’s price range.
