Report: Spurs ‘interest is real’ and manager ‘wouldn’t say no’ to Levy and co

Weeks after sacking Jose Mourinho and appointing Ryan Mason until the end of the season, Spurs still find themselves without a permanent head coach for next season.

However, Corriere dello Sport has now offered an update on the situation of Lazio manager, Simone Inzaghi, who has been at the Italian club since 2016 (as relayed by Sport Witness).

Inzaghi’s contract runs out at the end of the current season and, the report claims that there has been no talk of a renewal at this point.

The report says that Tottenham’s interest in the coach is real and not merely propaganda designed for Inzaghi to leverage for a new contract with Lazio.

Instead, Spurs are said to have ‘come out’ for the Italian manager, who has been left confused as to his situation at Lazio after all he has achieved with the club.

Therefore, Inzaghi apparently ‘wouldn’t say no to Spurs’ at this moment in time, as it would be a progressive move in his managerial career.
