Report: Spurs interested in 16-year-old striker who has 63 goals in 41 academy games

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in signing a 16-year-old with a very impressive scoring record in the summer transfer window (Daily Mail).

Luka Reischl currently plays as an academy striker for RB Salzburg, but Spurs and Man City are said to be keeping tabs on the teenager.

However, there is a twist in this report, as Spurs must make up their minds by the summer of 2020.

This comes as post-Brexit regulations will see a switch from EU law to FIFA rules, and Tottenham will not be able to sign players under the age of 18. The Mail add that, by the time he turns 18, Reischl may cost £2m.

Reischl has apparently played 41 academy matches for his current club, banging in 63 goals in that time (Daily Mail).

Spurs Web Opinion:

After the shrewd acquisition of Troy Parrott two years ago, I would be all for this signing. However, it seems to make more sense getting the deal done this summer while Spurs still can.
