Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Lazio defender Luiz Felipe this summer (Daily Mail).
Spurs scouts have been sent to watch the 22-year-old, with the future of Toby Alderweireld remaining uncertain.
It is said that the impressive Brazilian could cost Tottenham just £17m, a bargain in today’s transfer market.
Alderweireld enters the final year of his contract at the end of his season and this may prove to be his final campaign in North London.
The Belgian had his deal extended by a year in early 2019, but this triggered a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave for just £25m in the summer if a bid comes in.
Spurs fans will be hoping that Toby decides to see out his contract and stay for an extra year.
If reports are to be believed though, Tottenham could see Alderweireld and pick up Luiz Felipe with change to spare.
