Report: Spurs interested in former Manchester United winger

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Football Insider.

Zaha is out of contract in the summer and is said to have already rebuffed a number of new offers to put pen to paper on a new deal.

The 30-year-old has had a solid start to the current campaign, having scored six goals in thirteen Premier League appearances while also providing two assists (transfermarkt).

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reported to have twice attempted to bring the winger to north London during his time in charge of the club but a move failed to materialise on both occasions after failing to meet Palace’s valuation.

Arsenal could also be in the race for his services, with a hotly contested battle among Premier League clubs expected this summer.

The Ivory Coast international also qualifies as a ‘homegrown’ player due to the fact that he spent more than three years at an English club before he turned 21 (talkSPORT).

Ahead of every transfer window, the former Manchester United player is linked with a move to Tottenham and a host of other Premier League clubs. At 30, if he is to leave Selhurst Park, he will want a sizeable contract as a free agent and will not be short of offers.
