According to AS, Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a shock move for Barcelona winger Raphinha this summer.
Although Raphinha has posted some impressive numbers since making his big-money switch from Leeds United to Barcelona last summer, some of the winger’s general play has attracted criticism.
AS state that some at the La Liga club do not believe that the Brazilian has ‘lived up to expectation’ in his first season at Camp Nou.
The report claims that while the Catalan club’s official position is that Raphinha is not for sale, they would consider any big offer that comes their way for the player this summer since the funds can be used to balance the books and try to re-sign Lionel Messi.
It is revealed that the 26-year-old is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League, with Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle United ready to offer him a route back to England.
AS also add that Raphinha himself feels that he is not valued highly enough at Barca as Xavi Hernandez has preferred playing Ousmane Dembele on the right, which is the former Leeds star’s favourite position.

Tottenham as well as several other clubs from the Premier League would be circling around many of Barca’s players this summer as these clubs would be aware of the Catalan club’s financial position.
There could be some good deals to be had, as Xavi’s men could end up sacrificing the likes of Ansu Fati, Franck Kessie and Raphinha in order to bring in their top targets.
