Report: Spurs interested in left-back with 9 goal contributions this season

According to Fichajes.net, Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Real Betis left-back Alex Moreno when the transfer window opens this summer.

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a left wing-back this summer, with reports indicating that Antonio Conte is not convinced by Sergio Reguilon and is open to cashing in on the Spaniard (Football Insider).

Fichajes have now claimed that Conte wants to sign a player who offers an attacking threat down the left flank and Moreno fits the profile of what he is looking for.

The 28-year-old has scored five goals and registered five assists across all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season (Transfermarkt).

However, Fichajes reveal that Moreno is also on Barcelona’s radar, with the Catalan giants said to be looking for Jordi Alba’s successor at left-back.

Finally, the report adds that Crystal Palace have also sounded out Betis regarding the availability of Moreno.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would not have any qualms at keeping Reguilon around as a squad player but in reality, Conte will likely have to choose who to let go between the Spaniard and Sessegnon if Spurs are to bring in another left wing-back.

I believe that Sessegnon is more likely to stay as his attributes are a much better fit for the wing-back role than Reguilon’s and the England Under-21 international also has a higher ceiling than the 25-year-old.
