CalcioMercato have reported that Tottenham are interested in signing former Aston Villa keeper, Pierluigi Gollini this summer.

The report also claims that Premier League rivals Everton, as well as Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Lazio are interested in the shot-stopper who currently plays for Atalanta.

This comes after the Italian outfit recently signed a new goalkeeper themselves in the form of Juan Musso.

Spurs’ keeper situation in North London is unclear at present, with Paulo Gazzaniga having left on a free transfer and both Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart entering the final year of their respective deals.

Some Premier League fans may recognise the name Gollini as the keeper had a brief spell at Aston Villa back in 2016, although he struggled and was eventually sold to Atalanta for just £3.75m (Sky Sports).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think it all depends on Hugo Lloris this summer. If the Frenchman signs an extension with Spurs, they will probably promote Alfie Whiteman and make do. If he doesn’t, Tottenham may have to sign a new keeper on the cheap to cover places for next season.
