90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to keep tabs on Jota as the winger tries to find a resolution to his future.
Things have not gone to plan for Jota since he made a £25m switch from Celtic to Al Ittihad in the summer.
Last week, we relayed a report from The Daily Mirror which explained that the attacker will not feature for the Saudi Pro League side since he has not been registered as a result of the club being over the limit of the number of overseas played allowed.
The report claimed that the 24-year-old was of interest to Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou open to reuniting with the player.
Spurs are one of many clubs watching Jota situation
90 min have now backed up Tottenham’s interest in Jota, stating that they are one among several clubs keeping tabs on the situation.
It is alleged that the Portuguese star is currently in talks with Al Ittihad to find a resolution, with the forward hoping that he can be released from his contract.
The publication adds that if Jota’s contract is terminated and he is available on a free, Spurs would be interested in pursuing a deal.
The report suggests that Al Ittihad could also decide to hold on to the former Celtic man for a few more months and sell him in the January window.

It would not be in Al Ittihad’s interest to terminate Jota’s contract now rather than get a fee for him in January. It remains to be seen if Spurs will still be interested in the 24-year-old if he is not available on a free transfer.
