The Daily Mail have reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United this summer.
Ramsdale was initially called up to Gareth Southgate’s extended England squad for Euro 2020 but was eventually cut and named on the stand-by list instead.
The 23-year-old was also a part of the relegated Sheffield United side last season in the Premier League, although he was a standout performer for the Blades.
Ramsdale played 42 matches in all competitions for Sheffield United, making 145 saves with an impressive save percentage of above 70% (FBRef).
TransferMarkt only rate the shot-stopper at around £10m in the current market, even though the Blades signed him from Bournemouth for £18.5m in 2020.
Tottenham’s current number one and captain, Hugo Lloris, has just 12 months left on his contract in North London and Spurs are said to be looking towards life after the Frenchman.
However, it is said that a number of other clubs, including Wolves, are looking at Ramsdale this summer.
