Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Thomas Tuchel will not seriously consider replacing Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.
Amid the question marks over Conte’s future at Spurs in light of the team’s poor run of results, The Evening Standard reported on Thursday that Tuchel would be open to taking over at Tottenham despite previous affiliation across London at Chelsea.
The publication claimed that the German is now ready to return to football and will listen to a proposal from the north London club since he enjoyed living in the English capital.
However, CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs subsequently suggested that Spurs will approach other candidates, including former boss Mauricio Pochettino, before Tuchel if they do decide to part ways with Conte.
Plettenberg has now taken to Twitter to claim that the former Chelsea boss does not have the job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on his radar. The journalist stated that the 49-year-old is currently learning Spanish and is eyeing taking over at either Real Madrid or Barcelona, while the potential lure of the Juventus post is also appealing to the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
X News #Tuchel: Tottenham is not a serious future option. We‘ve been told that he has 2 big aims as a next step:
1. Barcelona (Because of his admiration for Pep & La Masia)
2. Real MadridJuventus is also interesting for him. But not now. He‘s still learning 🇪🇸. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪 pic.twitter.com/2loWZdKPHz

Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham might not be Tuchel’s preferred destination but the German will likely listen to the club’s proposal if they give him a call as he still has a point to prove in the Premier League after the way things ended for him at Chelsea.
With the future of Fabio Paratici now looking uncertain at Spurs (on the back of the recent Juventus verdict), I would not be surprised if Daniel Levy decides to completely shift course and re-appoint Pochettino as a manager rather than just a head coach.
