Report: Spurs join four European giants in race for Premier League left-back

Tottenham are allegedly battling with Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona over the potential signing of Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old has been one of the standout performers in Bruno Lage’s side this season and has earned plenty of plaudits as a result.

Wolves appear to be facing a battle to keep the talented left-back at the club, with the Daily Mail claiming Tottenham have joined Liverpool and Man City in monitoring the France U21 international.

The report adds interest has not been limited to the Premier League, with European powerhouses PSG and Barcelona both tracking Ait-Nouri ahead of a potential coup.

Ait-Nouri spent last term at Wolves on loan from Angers, before the West Midlands outfit made the move a permanent one for £10 million in the summer.

A caveat in the move is the French side inserted a 50 per cent sell-on clause into the deal, Wolves are said to be able to buy out the clause fully should a sale materialise.

If you watch Wolves play, Ait-Nouri is usually one of the players that stands out which is always a positive thing. He is clearly a talented player that has room to grow, but there are plenty of top sides looking to strike a deal which would make it a tough move to complete.
