Report: Spurs join host of European giants in race for £40m Bayern Munich man

Tottenham have joined a host of top European clubs in the race for Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to Calciomercato.

Tolisso, 27, sees his contract at the Allianz Arena expire at the end of the season and it is reportedly unlikely that he will agree new terms with the German giants.

As such, the France international’s situation is putting a number of clubs in England, France, Spain and Italy on red alert ahead of a potential free transfer.

Italian publication Calciomercato claim Tottenham, alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, are all keeping tabs on the midfielder ahead of pursuing potential moves.

Tolisso joined Bayern from Lyon in 2017 for a reported fee worth £40 million and has managed to secure 13 trophies in 101 appearances for the Bavarian outfit.

However, he has endured a relatively injury-blighted stint in Germany, and has made just five appearances in all competitions this season after struggling with a calf problem.

Tolisso is a very good midfielder and it seems as if Bayern may not be looking to extend his current deal which runs until the summer. If he managed to stay relatively injury-free, this could be a potentially good option for any side, especially on a free transfer.
