Report: Spurs join race to sign highly-rated Dutch forward

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping a close eye on Stoke City youngster Mohamed Sankoh and could make a move for him this summer, according to a report in Football Insider.

The report reveals that Everton, Chelsea and Celtic were all locked in a race for the centre-forward and that the Lilywhites are now ready to challenge the trio.

Although the centre-forward is yet to make a first-team appearance for Stoke, he has been in impressive form for the club’s Under-18s managing three goals and three assists in his last six appearances (transfermarkt.com).

Tottenham are said to be keeping a close eye on the highly-rated 16-year-old ahead of a potential move for him this summer.

The report reveals that Sankoh, who has already been capped by Holland at Under-17 level, has his heart set on a move to an elite club this summer.

It is said that youngster’s contract with Stoke runs out next month and the earliest he can sign a professional contract is when he turns 17 in October.
