90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in signing Sporting Lisbon winger Pedro Goncalves this summer.
Goncalves has developed impressively since making a switch to Sporting back in 2020 and the attacker has taken his game to a new level this season, having scored 17 times and provided 12 assists across all competitions so far in 2022-23 (Transfermarkt).

90 min state that Spurs were first drawn to the 24-year-old while on scouting missions for Pedro Porro.
The Portugal international is thought to have majorly impressed representatives from the North London club, who are now said to be ‘watching him closely’ ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is revealed that Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle United have also watched Goncalves this season, but it is Spurs who are leading the race for his signature.
The Sporting star is capable of playing on either wing, as a number ten or in central midfield, and his versatility is thought to appeal to Tottenham.

Goncalves is a fantastic talent and I have no doubt that several elite European clubs would be interested in him this summer.
However, I do wonder if Spurs would want to enter into negotiations with Sporting again this summer after the way the Portuguese club conducted themselves during the Pedro Porro talks.
