Report: Spurs keeping tabs on highly-rated Celtic midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly one of the clubs who have their eye on Celtic starlet Daniel Kelly.

It has been reported that Tottenham’ main transfer strategy this summer will be to target up and coming talent rather than established stars in the wake of the financial crunch caused by the coronavirus pandemic (Football Insider).

Spurs have already been linked with a move for Celtic’s Josh Adam, with the Lilywhites said to be battling Manchester City for the 16-year-old’s signature (Daily Mail).

The Herald report that the Lilywhites have their eye on another one of the Scottish giant’s young gems.

Spurs have been named among a list of Premier League clubs who are keeping tabs on 15-year-old Daniel Kelly ahead of a summer move.

The likes of Manchester United, Leicester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be interested in the box-to-box midfielder who has already starred for the Glaswegian’s Under 15s, 16s and even 18s.

The report claims that Celtic fear Kelly could leave the club’s academy this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

While there has been a lot of discussion on how we are going to see free agents, loan moves and swap deals being prioritised by various clubs this summer, I also believe a lot of young talents will switch clubs this summer. Clubs across Europe will be desperate to raise money and could potentially put their academy’s best prospects up for sale.
