Report: Spurs keeping tabs on their former player as potential future manager

Football London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham will continue to keep tabs on former player, Scott Parker as he progresses as a manager.

Parker played for the North London club between 2011 and 2013 and was a popular figure around White Hart Lane during his short stint.

He later returned to the club following his retirement and became the Spurs Under 18 coach before eventually moving on in search of senior management.

Parker, of course, has impressed this season in the Premier League at the helm of Fulham, making a late attempt to avoid the drop at the bottom of the table.

Alasdair Gold revealed in a question and answer session that Parker still has a number of friends at Tottenham Hotspur from his time coaching there and added that the North Londoners will keep a ‘close eye’ on his managerial career.

Gold also said that Parker could be one for the future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if he continues to develop as a manager.

He said (Football London): “He’ll certainly be one for the future if he keeps developing as a manager. He’s got a lot of friends at Spurs, having impressed with the U18s, and they’ll be keeping a close eye on his career.”
