Report: Spurs line up 19-year-old Trippier replacement

Tottenham Hotspur have now lost 12 Premier League games this season, and have struggled defensively, particularly in the right back position.

The Likes of Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, and Kyle Walker-Peters have all looked nervy and inconsistent during their campaigns, and Pochettino may look to bring in some fresh talent in the summer.

Spurs have been linked to Crystal Palace breakthrough star Aaron Wan-Bissaka in recent weeks (Sun), but The Express claim Tottenham may look elsewhere.

Just a few days after being named in the PFA Championship team of the year, and securing promotion with his current club Norwich, Max Aarons is being linked to a move to one of the biggest English clubs.

The Express claim that Kieran Trippier will be offloaded, and Max Aarons is a target in terms of a replacement.

Aarons is still only 19 and has two years left on his current contract at Norwich.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Despite Trippier’s poor performances this season, I would keep him at the club for another year. The England star can only improve next year, and he not only offers experience in the squad, but a homegrown player status. I would sell Serge Aurier, who I believe is a defensive liability, and sign either Aarons or Wan-Bissaka as young players who could make that right back position their own.
