Tottenham Hotspur have long-since been linked with a move for Fulham teenager, Ryan Sessegnon, especially since the winger’s contract is up next summer (Sun).
Sessegnon is said to be keen on a move to Spurs in order to both stay in London and to work with Mauricio Pochettino, who has a good track record for developing young, English players (Guardian).
While a deal for Sessegnon is still on the cards for Tottenham this season, it appears they will not be landing Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, as the player penned a new deal this week.
Mitrovic will now remain at Fulham until 2024, despite being linked with a host of Premier League clubs, Real Betis, and a big money switch to China (Sun).
TEAMtalk reported earlier this year that Tottenham failed with a January deadline day bid for Mitrovic in 2019, offering £27m for the forward.
The report also stated that Spurs would likely bid again in the summer, but it now appears as if that ship has sailed.
