Report: Spurs-linked midfielder has made decision regarding his future

According to Sport Bild (as relayed by Goal), rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Corentin Tolisso wants to leave Bayern Munich when his contract at the Allianz Arena runs out in the summer.

Tolisso initially struggled for regular game time under Julian Nagelsmann his season (Transfermarkt) but the midfielder has been getting more minutes under his belt over the past couple of months due to injuries to Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka.

CalcioMercato reported back in October that Fabio Paratici had made contact with the 27-year-old’s entourage over a potential move to North London.

German publication Kicker suggested last month that Bayern do not wish to let the French international leave for free in the summer and were prepared to offer him a new contract.

However, Sport Bild have now claimed that Tolisso does not intend to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga giants and wants a fresh challenge in the summer.

The report assets the 27-year-old wants to be an ‘undisputed regular’ in the starting eleven and he does not feel that would happen at Bayern when everyone is fit.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Tolisso is available for free in the summer, one would expect plenty of clubs from around Europe to show interest in the midfielder.

However, one can argue that a midfielder of the Frenchman’s mould should not necessarily be a priority for Spurs in the summer.

With Lo Celso and Ndombele seeming like they do not have a future under Conte, a number eight like Franck Kessie or Weston McKennie is a more pressing need.
