Report: Spurs-linked player keen to join a ‘big European team’ this summer

Club Brugge starlet Charles De Ketelaere, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, wants to make a big move this summer, CalcioMercato have revealed.

De Ketelaere has caught the attention of clubs around Europe with his performances this season, netting 13 goals and seven assists in the Belgian top-flight so far (Transfermarkt).

The versatile forward was linked with a move to Spurs in January, with Voetbal Nieuws reporting at the time that Antonio Conte wanted to bring the 21-year-old to North London.

CalcioMercato have now revealed that the youngster, who is contracted to Brugge until 2024, would like to move to ‘a big European team’ this summer.

However, the report explains that De Ketelaere is particularly ‘fascinated’ by the idea of playing in the Serie A.

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a fan of the Belgian international and the club are said to be evaluating a move for the forward.

Additionally, AC Milan are also thought to be tracking De Ketelaere ahead of the summer transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

De Ketelaere seems to have a high ceiling but I suspect that the youngster would want to join a club where he is guaranteed to be a starter in order to continue his development. That would probably rule Spurs out of the running, particularly given the start Kulusevski has made to his career in North London.
