Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held an interest in AS Roma defender Roger Ibañez.
Reports from Italy suggest that the North Londoners, along with Premier League rivals Leicester City are admirers of the 22-year-old.
Earlier this week, Ibañez signed a new contract with Roma which will keep him contracted with the Serie A side until 2025.
Calciomercato claim that both English clubs were keen on the central defender during the summer transfer window.
Their interest in the Brazilian may have just become more complicated after he put pen to paper on a contract extension which includes a transfer release of €80m (£68m).

The fact that Ibañez now carries a hefty release clause is likely to rule out any prospect of Spurs making a bid during the summer considering the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Joe Rodon has barely been given the opportunity to prove his worth following his switch from Swansea City.
