Report: Spurs-linked player’s agent meets with club to confirm desire to leave

Multiple sources from Italy are now reporting that rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Arkadiusz Milik has informed Napoli of his desire to leave in January and that the club are ready to let him leave.

According to Football.London, Milik was reportedly one of two strikers Tottenham had narrowed down their chase to during the summer transfer window, with the other being Carlos Vinicius, who eventually arrived in North London on a loan deal just days ahead of the transfer deadline.

AreaNapoli reported earlier this week that the Polish international could be available for just around €7m (£6.3m) during the January transfer window, with Spurs said to be one of the sides showing interest.

Calciomercato now claim that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and Milik’s agent have now held meetings over the strikers future in order to resolve his situation.

The Pole has been frozen out in Naples and it is revealed that the club are now ready to lay the foundations for negotiations regarding a January transfer over the next few weeks.

Gianlucadimarzio also backs up the claim that a meeting was held this week about the striker’s future.

They claim that Milik made it clear that he wants to leave in January rather than running his contract down and leaving as a free agent in the summer, which would also see Napoli miss out on a transfer fee.
