Report: Spurs-linked playmaker could be available for under £37m

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to strengthen their options ahead of the new season, especially after going above and beyond last campaign.

After reaching the Champions League Final for the first time ever, Tottenham will surely have a taste for the high life now, and will be desperate to reach the next level.

One player who would surely improve the current Spurs squad is Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.

The attacker first shot onto the scene for Colombia at the World Cup back in 2014, and has gone on to play for two of the biggest clubs in the world.

The 27-year-old certainly packs bags full of experience, and is reportedly available for less than £37m this summer, with Zidane desperate to offload him (Corriere dello Sport).

Spurs were linked with Rodriguez back in January 2019, with the Independent suggesting that he could move to White Hart Lane as part of a deal for Eriksen.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Tottenham could secure the signing of James Rodriquez for just £30m, I would be over the moon. He would provide extra experience and quality in that midfield, as well as pushing the likes of Dele Alli. Spurs also have a healthy South American contingent already at the club, including the gaffer.
