Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur target James Ward-Prowse is not in a hurry to decide his next destination.
Ward-Prowse is expected to leave his boyhood club this summer after the Saints were relegated to the Championship for the first time since 2005.
According to Football Insider’s latest update, the midfielder’s days at St Mary’s are numbered but he has not yet made a decision on which club he wants to join.
The report states that Spurs have been monitoring the England international’s situation for some time and are plotting a summer offer, with the Lilywhites and their London rivals, West Ham United, currently thought to be the front of the queue for the player’s signature.
However, it is explained that nothing is advanced as of yet, with Ward-Prowse now taking time out before making a final decision.
Football Insider also add that interested clubs are expected to step up their interest in the 28-year-old over the coming weeks.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Ward-Prowse would be a decent addition to the squad and arguably an upgrade over Hojbjerg, I do not think the England international is good enough to be a regular starter for a club with Champions League ambitions.
I would not be surprised if he ends up joining a mid-table side such as West Ham or Wolves this summer.
