Report: Spurs-linked striker could be available for £21m this summer

According to The Athletic, Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, could be available for a fee of around €25m (£21m) this summer.

Kalajdzic enjoyed a prolific 2020/21 season for Stuttgart but the centre-forward has missed the majority of the current campaign through injury.

Despite that, the 24-year-old still boasts of an impressive goal record this term, having found the back of the net six times in 15 Bundesliga appearances, more than half of which have come from the bench (Transfermarkt).

The Austrian international was rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar during last summer’s transfer window (Eurosport) and reports have backed the North Londoners to reignite their interest in the 24-yea-old this summer (Kicker).

The Athletic have now revealed that there is set to be plenty of competition for Kalajdzic’s signature this summer, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund said to have enquired about the player.

In addition, the report claims that Benfica have identified the Austrian international as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez, who is expected to depart the Estadio da Luz this summer.

It is explained that while Stuttgart hope Kalajdzic will sign a new deal, the striker is highly likely to leave this summer for a fee of around €25m (£21m).

Spurs Web Opinion

Kalajdzic would be a very good option if Conte wants to sign a centre-forward as an out-and-out backup for Harry Kane. However, I suspect the Italian would prefer to sign a versatile forward of the mould of Lautaro Martinez or Memphis Depay, who could play across the front three.
