According to a report in Austrian publication Salzburger Nachrichten (as relayed by HITC), rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Patson Daka could leave RB Salzburg at the end of the season.
Daka was one of a number of strikers that Spurs were reportedly considering before they eventually settled on taking Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica last summer.
It was revealed at the time that, despite attracting interest from the North Londoners, the 22-year-old wanted to continue his development at Salzburg for another season.
The striker’s reputation has blossomed even further this season as he has found the back of the net on 25 occasions in all competitions for the Austrian side.
It was reported in January that the Zambian international was also on West Ham United’s radar, with the Hammers being linked with a £25m move for the prolific forward. TransferMarkt claim that the striker is worth just £18m in the current market.
Salzburger Nachrichten have now claimed that it would be a major surprise if Daka is still with Jesse Marsch’s side at the start of next season.
The report even quotes Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund as saying: “During the summer transfer period, there will be a lot of inquiries from clubs in the top European leagues. Players will also leave us.”

Spurs Web Opinion
I would be surprised if Tottenham take up the option to sign Carlos Vinicius permanently at the end of the season. So, in all likelihood, we will be in the market for another striker.
Daka would be a terrific acquisition but it will be an uphill task to convince the youngster to come to Spurs knowing that he would have to play second fiddle to Harry Kane.
