Report: Spurs-linked striker said to be ‘very interested’ in moving to Napoli

According to the latest reports from France, rumoured Spurs target Victor Osimhen is ‘very interested’ in completing a move to Napoli this summer.

Osimhen has had a sensational first season in Ligue 1 and is reportedly on the radar of clubs across Europe (Le10Sport).

Tottenham were linked with a move for the Lille star during the January transfer window (Sky Sports) and it was claimed that the North Londoners have returned with a £62million offer to sign the striker this summer (Radio Kiss Kiss via Area Napoli).

However, Osimhen’s agent, Osita Okolo previously questioned why the Nigerian would move to Spurs while Harry Kane was still at the club (The Cable).

Osimhen recently denied suggestions that he had agreed to a move to Napoli this summer (Omasports).

However, Le10Sport reveal that there may be truth to those suggestions with the Serie A giants currently locked in negotiations with Lille for the striker.

While the offer from Napoli is said to be lower than bids made by other clubs, it is claimed that Osimhen is keen to complete a move to Gennaro Gattuso’s side as his main priority is to ensure he play regular first-team football than warm the bench of another side.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Osimhen has the attributes to partner Kane upfront as both strikers could complement one another. However, I completely understand why the youngster is keen to ensure that he is the main man upfront at whichever club he joins.

He must continue getting regular game time at his age to sustain his development, and I suspect, having Kane at the club rules us out of the running for Osimhen’s signature.
