Report: Spurs-linked striker snubs contract extension

Arkadiusz Milik, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham is set to leave Napoli when the transfer window opens, according to the latest reports from Italy.

There has been no shortage of reports linking Tottenham with a move for Milik over the past few weeks.

Reports last month indicated that Lilywhites are ‘pushing a lot’ to get a deal for the striker completed (Alfredo Pedulla via TuttoNapoli), and had even made a player plus cash offer to Napoli to land the 26-year-old (Tuttosport via Sport Witness).

Mundo Deportivo claimed late last month that Napoli were running out of patience with the striker’s reluctance to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Tuttosport report that talks between the Serie A side and Milik’s representatives have collapsed after multiple contract offers were rejected.

It is said that there is no possibility of the Polish international extending his stay at the San Paolo Stadium, with the player apparently keen to remain in Italy.

With just a year left to run on his deal, the Italians are rumoured to have decided to cash in on Milik this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Out of all the strikers we have been linked with so far, Milik would be the best fit for us as he would provide us with a genuine plan B. However, the big question is if he will be content swapping Napoli for Spurs knowing he is not going to be the first-choice striker in North London.
