Report: Spurs-linked striker valued at £36m had a trial at the club when he was 16

Tottenham Hotspur may be in the hunt for a new striker when the summer transfer window eventually opens, as they look to finally sign a Harry Kane back-up.

Both CalcioNapoli24 and journalist Nicolo Schira have both reported that the Lilywhites are interested in a move for Arkadiusz Milik.

Milik has scored 12 goals in 22 games for Napoli this season, with 107 career club goals in total. He also has 49 caps for Poland and 14 international goals (Wikipedia).

According to TransferMarkt, Milik is currently valued at £36m in the current transfer climate. However, the Express recently claimed that Napoli would want around £40m for their man.

The 26-year-old has been at Napoli for the past four seasons, but it has now resurfaced that Milik actually had a Tottenham trial in his youth.

In 2015, it was reported by the Mirror that Tottenham had turned down a chance to sign 16-year-old Milik after a trial during the Harry Redknapp years. They could have secured him for just £100,000.
