Report: Spurs-linked striker’s agent was in England for talks last week

Bild have claimed that the agent of Sasa Kalajdzic was in England last week amidst interest from the likes of Tottenham.

Antonio Conte reportedly wants to add a striker to his squad, with Kalajdzic thought to be one of the options on the North London club’s radar (Stuttgart Nachrichten).

The Sun reported on Monday that Spurs were facing competition from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City for the Austrian while Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were also tracking the striker.

According to Bild’s latest update, Bayern and Dortmund have now decided to look elsewhere, with Kalajdzic being primarily eyed by Premier League clubs.

It is explained that the centre-forward’s representative, Sascha Empacher, was in England last week amidst the interest in his client.

The report states that Spurs are eyeing a move for the 24-year-old but does not reveal whether Empacher met with the North London club during his trip to England.

Bild add that Stuttgart will not let Kalajdzic leave for less than €25m (£21.4m) this summer despite the player having just 12 months left on his contract at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Kalajdzic does come to the Premier League, I suspect he will end up joining a club like Leicester, West Ham or Newcastle rather than any of the big six. However, having said that, I do think the Austrian would be quite a useful backup to Harry Kane if Spurs get him.
