Report: Spurs-linked Vlahovic may have decided upon his next destination

According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by ViolaNews), Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic may have already decided upon his next destination amidst the speculation linking him with a move away from Fiorentina.

Vlahovic’s current deal with Fiorentina runs out in the summer of 2023 and talks between the striker and the club have allegedly broken down.

Calciomercato.it even asserted last week that Tottenham are in talks with the striker’s entourage over personal terms ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window.

Spurs are thought to be facing competition from the likes of Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Juventus for the 21-year-old.

Fiorentina are alleged to be working on signing replacements for the centre-forward given the uncertainty surrounding his future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest that Vlahovic’s entourage might already have an agreement in principle with another club to sign the striker on a free transfer in 2023, with the report speculating that Juventus could be that club.

It is thus suggested that in order to avoid losing the Serbian on a free, the Viola could sell him in a cut-price deal in the coming windows, just as they were forced to do when they sold Federico Chiesa to Juve in 2020.

Spurs Web Opinion

One would expect Paratici to have had conversations with Vlahovic’s entourage. However, I cannot see us competing with the likes of Atletico and Liverpool for the Serbian in January, especially given that Kane seems set to stay at Spurs for the time being.
