Report: Spurs linked with highly-rated French international as part of triple interest

Tottenham were one of the busiest clubs during the summer transfer window, with seven new players being bought in.

The new arrivals have helped address many of the weaknesses in the squad had and has given Jose Mourinho a whole host of options in almost every position across the pitch.

However, according to Football.London, the rebuild is far from over, with Jose Mourinho targeting an ambitious triple transfer swoop next year.

Among the names mentioned is Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who has won many admirers over the past year and even broken into France’s senior side at just 17 years of age.

Spurs were linked with the youngster back in March (Sport) and Football.London claim that the club have not given up hope of landing the £54-rated midfielder.

The report adds that Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst are also on Mourinho’s wishlist for next year.

Spurs Web Opinion

It certainly makes sense that we are being linked with the likes of Camavinga, Brozovic and Phillips as centre-midfield is now the area where we are the weakest in terms of options. Neither Winks nor Sissoko are long-term solutions to our problems, while the jury is still out on Oliver Skipp, although he has shown plenty of promise. Camavinga would be a brilliant singing but we will likely face competition from the biggest clubs across Europe for his signature.
