Report: Spurs linked with move for former Arsenal hero who scored 80 Gunners goals

Tottenham have been linked with a potential move for former Arsenal winger, Alexis Sanchez, according to a report from 90min.

It is claimed that the 31-year-old could fall into a category that Spurs are looking to take advantage of in this summer’s transfer market.

The Chilean star is currently on loan from Manchester United to Inter Milan but is set to return at the end of the Serie A season.

In Sanchez’s 11 league appearances for Inter, the 31-year-old has only managed to find the back of the net on one occasion, with three assists to his name (Transfermarkt).

His time at United has been turbulent, to say the least, and it is believed the Red Devils will be actively looking to offload the winger on a permanent basis this summer.

During his time at Arsenal, Sanchez managed 80 goals in 166 games (Wikipedia), playing four seasons at the North London club between 2014 and 2018.

Spurs Web Opinion

What a strange rumour this is. He has given us some torrid times in both the red of Arsenal and United but I don’t think making a move for him makes much sense given wages, his age, and the options we now have in that position.
