Report: Spurs linked with move for La Liga striker

According to the latest reports from Spain, Tottenham are ready to turn their attention to Real Betis striker Loren Moron in the summer.

Spanish publication La Razon claims that Mourinho is an admirer of Moron and is keen on bringing him to North London after the club’s pursuit of Real Sociedad Willian Jose failed in January.

The striker has netted eleven goals in all competitions for Betis so far this campaign (transfermakt).

The report claims that the Lilywhites will face competition from Napoli for the 26-year-old striker.

Estadio Deportivo report that the striker is almost certain to leave the Benito Villamarín Stadium at the end of the season.

Moron’s asking price might prove a sticking point for the Lilywhites with the report in La Razon suggesting that the forward has a €60 million release clause.

The report also asserts that Napoli are prepared to pay €40 million for the Spaniard’s services and that Spurs have to improve on the Italians’ offer to land him.

Spurs Web Opinion

We are likely going to be linked with every striker across Europe who’s available in the summer. While it is hard to tell if there is any truth to our interest in Moron, our relationship with Betis should give us an advantage in this transfer.

As always, the trouble with signing a top striker is that he is going to want to play regularly rather than playing second fiddle to Kane.
