Report: Spurs looking at hiring Director of Football from European giants

Tottenham Hotspur have been struggling so far this season, despite the much-needed win against Southampton yesterday in the Premier League.

Spurs have won just three games from the first nine in all competitions this season and have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Colchester United.

Reports from Italy now suggest that Tottenham may make a move to improve situation at the club by hiring a Director of Football to sit between Levy and Poch.

In theory, this could help with the restructuring and rebuilding of a new team under Pochettino, with a number of the old guard seeing their contracts coming to an end.

Il Bianconero and Calciomercato have both claimed that Spurs are looking at Juventus’ Fabio Paratici as a potential suitor after his success in recent years at the Italian giants.

However, Paratici is said to be happy where he is at this moment in time.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Spurs want a Director of Football, this guy sounds like a perfect candidate. However, I’m not sure why he would leave Juve for Spurs at the moment.
