Report: Spurs made decision on whether to sign Newcastle wonderkid

Football Insider have reported that Tottenham Hotspur have turned down to chance to sign Newcastle United starlet, Bobby Clark this summer.

This comes after the same publication reported last week that Tottenham had been offered the chance to snap up the 16-year-old midfielder by intermediaries.

The report claims that a source within the North London club has informed them that Spurs academy coach, Paul Bracewell, did indeed have a look at Clark. However, it is said that Bracewell eventually advised that the club do not make a move to sign him.

Bracewell apparently watched Clark over a number of weeks before coming to his final conclusion, and the Newcastle youngster will not be joining the likes of Alfie Devine in the Spurs academy.

Clark burst onto the youth scene by becoming the youngest ever player to feature for the Newcastle U18 side at just 14 years of age, but his progress has stalled this season.
