According to a report from CalcioMercato, Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Nikola Milenkovic’s entourage over the possibility of a summer transfer.
La Nazione reported back in November that Spurs were tracking Milenkovic, with Jose Mourinho said to be a fan of the Fiorentina star.
Sky Sports Germany claimed last month that Spurs could face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund for the centre-back.
CalcioMercato now suggest that Milenkovic has decided that his future lies elsewhere and is unlikely to stay at Fiorentina beyond the end of the season.
The Serie A club have reportedly been unable to reach an agreement with the 23-year-old’s agent, Ramadani, regarding a new deal.
The report alleges that Spurs, as well as Liverpool, have tested the waters with the defender’s agent while AC Milan and Inter Milan are still also in the running for his signature.

It is clear that a new central defender will be high on the list of Tottenham’s priorities in the summer. However, it would be interesting to see who we will let go of.
Sanchez and Alderweireld have both been in great form in recent weeks while I cannot see Mourinho being willing to move Dier on.
I believe Alderweireld is the most likely to leave due to his age and contract situation but I can also potentially see the North Londoners deciding to loan Joe Rodon out and deciding to retain the other three.
