Report: Spurs make enquiry for Real Madrid defender

Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City have all enquired about the availability of Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi, according to 90min.

The Moroccan international has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund since 2018 and has impressed during his time at the Bundesliga giants.

Having established himself as one of the top full-backs in European football, Hakimi is expected to return to Madrid this summer.

However, the report suggests Dortmund are desperate to make Hakimi’s time in Germany a permanent one but will face fierce opposition if Madrid decides to listen to offers.

Hakimi, who is comfortable on either flank has racked up 70 appearances for Dortmund during his loan spell and in that time has netted on 13 occasions (Transfermarkt).

This season the Madrid-born full-back has scored five times in the league and claimed 10 assists.

The 21-year-old has been with the Spanish giants since he was eight years old and made his first-team debut back in 2016.

Hakimi could return to Madrid and be used as competition for 28-year-old first-choice right-back, Dani Carvajal.
