Report: Spurs keen on signing Bundesliga midfielder

According to a report by Bild, Tottenham are keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen midfield man Jonas Hofmann.

Bild say in the report that Spurs are willing to quadruple his current wages if he was to join the North London outfit.

His current contract in the German League expires in 2020, so it is definitely an achievable target for the Lilywhites.

The 26-year-old has definitely turned a few heads this season so far, scoring six goals and setting up a further seven in just 15 matches.

The German star has yet to receive a senior international cap, but has represented his nation well at U18 and U21 levels.

Hofmann is said to be a pacey player, with quality dribbling abilities, and would provide depth behind the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Heung Min Son, and Lucas Moura.

This may be one for the summer though, as Spurs will surely be concentrating on bringing in a striker, if anyone, this window.
