Report: Spurs make opening £4.5m offer for striker said to be worth triple that value

A report from Turkish publication, Aspor, has revealed that Tottenham have made an opening bid of £4.5 million to Fenerbache for striker Vedat Muriqi.

Askam (via Sport Witness) previously claimed that the Turkish giants wanted €15 million for the striker.

Fanatik (via Tribal Football) suggested that West Brom were prepared to offer €20 million to sign the Kosovo international if they get promoted to the Premier League.

Muriqi, who has been in sensational form in the Super Lig this season, is said to be keen on joining Spurs and linking up with Jose Mourinho (Fanatik via Sport Witness).

Aspor now reports that Spurs have offered just £4.5 million for the 26-year-old, although they do not reveal how Fenerbache have reacted to being offered such an amount.

However, they do report that Muriqi is highly sought after by English and Italian clubs with the likes of Burnley, Lazio, and Napoli all said to be keen on his services.

I wouldn’t put it beyond Levy to have made such a low offer to test the waters. Muriqi’s price will have come down due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic but I doubt Fenerbache will be willing to sell for any amount less than £10 million.
