Report: Spurs man agrees four-and-a-half year deal with another club ahead of transfer

Tottenham Hotspur have a choice to make over the future of Christian Eriksen in North London, should they sell him now or let him leave on a free in the summer?

Eriksen has just six months left on his contract at Spurs, meaning he can now talk to foreign clubs about possible pre-contract deals for summer transfers.

However, the Daily Mail report that Eriksen would prefer a transfer to Serie A club Inter Milan this month, rather than waiting for a free deal.

Eriksen has reportedly now agreed a four and a half year deal with Inter, dropping his wage demands from £8.5m per year to £6.5m to get the deal over the line. The Mial state that Eriksen’s agent has now accepted the offer from Inter Milan.

It now all hinges on whether Spurs sanction the move and can agree a fee with Inter for a January transfer, with decisive meetings scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Spurs are said to still want a £17m fee (La Gazzetta dello Sport).
