Report: Spurs man on radar of German clubs but there is hope of a new contract

It was been a pretty poor season for Tottenham Hotspur, despite reaching the highs of the Champions League Final under a year ago.

Spurs were knocked out of the League Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League, as well as struggling to make the top four in the Premier League.

Not only this, but the club parted ways with long-term manager Mauricio Pochettino, as well as experienced star midfielder, Christian Eriksen.

One of the few shining lights in 2020 has been the emergence of Japhet Tanganga in defence, with the academy man being given multiple chances by Jose Mourinho.

Tanganga has played at centre-back, left-back, and right-back, impressing in all three while playing against the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

It has now been reported by the Telegraph that multiple German clubs are keeping an eye on the Tottenham man, although the Coronavirus suspension may give Spurs time to agree on a new contract.

The report adds that the Lilywhites are still hopeful of doing just that.
