Report: Spurs man who was injured in January returns to first-team training

Tottenham Hotspur have been finally handed a significant injury boost as Moussa Sissoko has returned to first-team training this week, according to the official Twitter account.

The Frenchman picked up an injury against Southampton on New Years Day earlier this year, but played on with the knock and has not been seen since.

Sissoko required surgery on his knee to correct the issue and has been in rehabilitation ever since, keeping fans updated on social media.

Sport Mole claim that Sissoko is not in contention to face Man United on Sunday, but could find himself back in the squad ‘soon’.

Ben Davies has also returned to first-team training after a couple of weeks out injured, while Davinson Sanchez has recovered from a minor knock that saw him miss the RB Leipzig game (Sports Mole).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Spurs need attacking players to return more than anything, but hopefully these three coming back will at least give the club a solid base to build from. Moussa Sissoko has been a huge miss for Mourinho in that midfield engine room.
